It's a 31-hectare, $6 billion project in the center of the historical downtown. The new social and civic hub, Msheireb, is now an enjoyable place to live, work, shop, visit, and spend time with family and friends. The lively urban neighborhood features premier office space, retail, leisure facilities, townhouses, upscale apartments, hotels, museums, civic services, and exciting cultural and entertainment venues.

Sentosa Island, at the southern tip of Singapore, is a resort destination with a wide array of leisure and recreational offerings including: beaches, golf courses, a world class yachting marina, spa and resort accommodations and family attractions. As part of Sentosa’s $2 billion redevelopment, Square Peg was retained to design and develop a comprehensive wayfinding and signing masterplan for the island. The bright and, colorful look and feel for the signing master plan was inspired by Sentosa’s brand palette and results in a vibrant contrast from the lush tropical background.

Circa is a new collection of luxury apartments in two 35-story tower located directly across the street from LA Live and the Staples Center. The project is fronted by an 18,000sf LED screen, and includes 8-levels of public and private parking. The project includes lavish amenities and a two-acre rooftop park and pool retreat. Square Peg Design was retained to create the signage & wayfinding for this landmark residential development.

The ultimate playground for families and couples alike, this sophisticated resort redefines Los Cabos. Costa Palmas is the first Four Seasons marina resort, a showpiece of contemporary design on Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula. Nestled on 3.2 kilometres (2 miles) of untouched beaches. Square Peg Design was retained to develop a comprehensive signage and wayfinding program designed to compliment the sophistication of the resort design.

The 550,000 sf Caesars Forum Conference Center is the newest addition to the Caesars Entertainment family. Conveniently located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, it includes the largest column-free ballrooms in the world, at over 100,000 sq. ft. each. SQPEG worked in collaboration with Caesars and KGA Architecture to design the graphics, signage and wayfinding design for this state-of-the-art facility.

Viasat Corporate Headquarters

Square Peg Design was retained by Viasat to produce an interior and external wayfinding and signage program for its 1.1-million sf, 16-building headquarters expansion in Carlsbad, California. The campus signage package aimed to highlight site monuments and major points of interest, which included both pedestrian and vehicular directional systems as well as exterior and interior signage for each of Viasat’s 16 buildings. The result was visually uniting the campus, creating one cohesive look across both new and existing buildings.

Lakeside Coffee is an on-site coffee shop at Bishop Ranch, a corporate campus in San Ramon, California. It offers a casual space for people to grab a coffee, pastry or happy hour on campus. Square Peg Design was retained to create the brand identity and design the consumables for this boutique coffee shop. The end design reflected the client’s desire to have a brand that reflected the shop’s proximity to Bishop Ranch’s scenic Lake Annabelle, while also providing a punch of color to the ultra-modern space and a bold cup in the hands of customers who grab their joe to go.

Sunset Development engaged Square Peg Design to develop a comprehensive wayfinding and signing program for one of their signature projects, City Center Bishop Ranch. The exercise included establishing new signage standards and guidelines for adoption by the shopping center and signage guidelines for their retail tenants. The architect, RPBW, provided a unique challenge to our team in their design of the skeletal signage rack where signs and banners were to appear as if floating delicately above the skin of the building. Our final program included signage for the rack, project identification, vehicular and pedestrian wayfinding, garage signage, and tenant signage guidelines.

Alameda Landing is a new waterfront, mixed-use community on the island of Alameda. Catellus, a national leader in mixed-use development, retained Square Peg Design to develop the branding, wayfinding and signing. Located across the bay from San Francisco, along the Oakland estuary, Alameda Landing is one of several revitalization projects set to reclaim former Navy land. Catellus is developing this 72 acres into a dynamic community that will include: 300 units of housing, 400,000 square feet of future office space, 300,000 square feet of retail space.

Suntec City is also home to The Fountain of Wealth, listed by the Guinness Book of Records as the largest fountain in the world.
Suntec City Mall and Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre Singapore recently completed a major renovation for which Square Peg Design developed a new wayfinding and signing program for the convention centre, the public plaza, the retail mall and new entry signing for the office towers

The Village at Westfield Topanga

The Village at Westfield Topanga is a new central gathering place for shopping, dining, events, entertainment and leisure and provides local residents and visitors a destination experience unlike any other in the San Fernando Valley. The Village showcases local fashion and sensational restaurants. Serene pedestrian pathways and unique water features lead to fun children’s play areas, bocce ball courts, and relaxing outdoor lounges. Square Peg Design was responsible for developing the project patterning and an overall wayfinding and Signing program as well as designing and programming a variety of tenant sign armatures, which insured a continuity of character and theme to the signing throughout the project.

Square Peg Design was commissioned to develop several feature elements for certain areas of the Dubai Mall utilizing cutting-edge technology. These features were an integral component of an overall media program used for entertainment, promotion, advertising and information. This feature is located in the Fashion Atrium. It is a composition of five, 7m diameter rings that are .5m high. The rings are individually supported by a computerized hoisting system to raise and lower the rings into a variety of positions. The rings are complemented by smaller LED screens at the perimeter of the atrium and a customized sound system. In 2009, Square Peg Design was awarded the Merit Award from the Society of Environmental Graphic Design (SEGD) for this Ring Feature.

The Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) will be the hub venue for the World Expo 2020 in Dubai. DEC is comprised of two complexes: The North complex at 170,000 sf and the larger South complex at 280,000 of exhibition space SQPEG was retained to develop the overarching wayfinding and signage strategy integrated with a changeable event communication platform. This integrated information platform included a variety of digital and static elements forming a “Communications Kit of Parts” for any type of event to take place in this state-of-the-art venue.

The Burj Khalifa, with 166 floors and a height of 828 meters, is the tallest man-made structure in the world. Square Peg Design designed a comprehensive signing program for this new global landmark. The Burj Khalifa offers a variety of destinations: offices, residences, a spa, and the world’s first Armani Hotel. The signage and wayfinding is quite complex and the design demands were equally challenging. By capturing the subtlety of the contemporary architecture with the right mix of Arabic influence, we were able to successfully integrate a signage and wayfinding program that enhances the experience of this globally significant structure.

The hotel features 169 hotel rooms and suites, and a large meeting space venue, along with an outdoor pool and deck area for the leisure or business traveler. The casino is like no other in the region, with unique product offerings, and innovative technologies that are new to the market.
