30 Years of Connecting People with Place

Thirty years ago today, Square Peg Design opened its doors in a small warehouse in Emeryville, California. What started as a passion for design and storytelling has grown into a global journey shaped by curiosity, collaboration, and a deep belief that places should connect people in meaningful ways. Across more than 2,000 projects in 35 countries, our work has remained focused on creating clarity, discovery, and a sense of belonging, always driven by the people behind each place.

As we celebrate this milestone, we’re not just looking back we’re looking forward. The world continues to change, and so do the environments we help shape. What remains constant is our commitment to thoughtful design, strong collaboration, and creating experiences that feel intuitive, human, and lasting.
