The new campus features office and lab buildings enhanced with modern amenities and four acres of sustainable open space. Durango Station

The Durango Station Hotel and Casino resort in Las Vegas features an impressive 83,000-square-foot casino, a bright lobby with stone finishes, and a cozy bar area designed for relaxation. It also comforts guests with more than 200 rooms, embodying a Palm Springs Desert vibe throughout. The entertainment amenities are fitting of a Las Vegas atmosphere with the STN Sportsbook Bar and there are plenty of dining options with the Eat Your Heart Out food hall as well as restaurants with cuisine choices from around the world.
Square Peg Design was tasked to develop a comprehensive design package to complete the signage, wayfinding and environmental graphics for the site and interiors. The SQPEG team created a community space, blending the functional elements of the resort with a design that mimics its desert landscape. The food hall and F&B signage were playful aspects of the project, offering the designers a challenge and a bit of fun. The team was involved in the project early on, which was a rewarding experience to see the complete design of Durango Station from start to finish.

Expected to open for patients in July 2025, the four-story, 268,228 square foot “48X Complex” will help to address the shortage of ambulatory operating room capacity at the main hospital. This project is envisioned to support a preliminary program of 14 operating rooms, 59 pre- and post-operative recovery bays, 14 single occupant 23-hour recovery rooms, 96 clinical exam rooms, and 19 clinical treatment rooms. The building will also include public spaces, clinical support, operations space (sterilization, pharmacy, etc.) imaging space, physical therapy space as well as administration support space to facilitate patient support and education.

As the only hospital on the island of St. Croix, the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center is more than a place where residents seek healthcare. It is also a center of civic and social gathering that represents the community and its history. The aging hospital was critically hit by Hurricanes Irma and Maria, resulting in extensive water and wind damage. During the recovery efforts on the island, the hospital structure was identified as requiring a full replacement.
Square Peg Design was retained by FLAD to develop a comprehensive signage and wayfinding program for this new replacement hospital.

The $380 million project feature The Waymark, a 596 apartment and 26,000 square feet of retail on 16 acres of what had been the BART station’s parking lot.
The Walnut Creek Transit Village is one of the biggest housing developments centered around a BART station.

The South Beach development covers an entire city block between the Marina and Civic District in the heart of downtown Singapore. Combining new construction with the restoration of existing buildings, the mixed-use, energy efficient new urban quarter brings together places to live and work with shops, cafes, restaurants, a hotel and public spaces. A wide landscaped pedestrian avenue, a green spine, weaves through the site and is protected by a large canopy, which shelters the light-filled public spaces beneath from the extremes of the tropical climate.

As the campus had developed over a number of decades, the signage and wayfinding was inconsistent and problematic. Square Peg Design developed a cohesive wayfinding strategy and a very visual signage program to direct arriving patients and visitors to their ultimate destinations.

As part of the HMC Architects design team, Square Peg Design developed a comprehensive signage, wayfinding and donor signage program for this new five-story, 148-bed tower that takes cues from the existing five-story tower and expands other departments to increase the hospital’s patient care and service departments in all directions. The expansion also includes additions to the surgery/emergency department, materials management, kitchen and public dining, a new two-story hospital entry structure with interventional expansion above, and a curved main hospital drop-off canopy.

As a fast-growing North Texas healthcare firm, Medecision’s office needed to expand over 12,000 square feet. The brand takes inspiration from the simple idea of building blocks, and the fractal patterns emphasize modular growth, evolution, and adaptation. The multifaceted and bold illustration is found throughout Medecision’s branding and is embraced and celebrated in their new headquarters. The environmental graphics throughout the space and the dynamic seating element that connects the common areas are derived from the fractal patterns found in the company’s branding.
