SQPEG developed a comprehensive wayfinding and signage program for the Highland Hospital Acute Care Tower Replacement project. The 592,000 square-foot facility was constructed in three phases and represents one of the largest healthcare projects undertaken by Alameda County. Phase 1 featured an 80,000 square foot outpatient and specialty care center. The three-story facility was built over a 172-space parking structure and includes connectors to the new hospital. Phase Two consists of the Acute Care Tower, a nine-story, 169-bed acute care facility. These new facilities unify the campus both functionally and architecturally.

The campus opened for classes in September of 2006. The first phase of the campus includes: School of Engineering, School of Natural Sciences, School of Humanities, Kolligian Library, Student Housing, Recreation Facility.

SQPEG was commissioned by Torrance Memorial Medical Center to design the signage and wayfinding program for their new Main Tower building. The 370,000 sf state-of-the-art facility is the latest development on the community hospital campus comprising eight buildings. Based upon the wayfinding design for the Main Tower, SQPEG also developing an overall campus wayfinding and signage program that will ensure consistent branding and nomenclature throughout.
